Human Capital Reporting Lab

This program is for those who want to learn more about metrics measurement and reporting standards as well as best practices in metrics for benchmarking and forecasting. This lab features ISO30414, SEC reporting and Storytelling with Data.

About this Lab

The lab’s focus is for you to be able to select and populate basic as well as advanced global standard metrics. The lab will include both training case studies and use attendee data to tell effective human capital stories as well as create/articulate an integrated workforce strategy.  

The lab will feature a series of practical case studies and hands on exercises as well as distilled summaries of relevant white papers, emerging best practices in human capital measurement and reporting Each week will build upon prior sessions toward a completed workforce strategy set of critical insights and key performance indicators that organizations and attendees can share with their organization to meet new and emerging human capital reporting requirements as well as most importantly, articulate a story with people data to share with stakeholders and the markets publicly.

The Lab will be led by Jeff Higgins, adjunct professor of HR and People Analytics at USC and a global thought leader on human capital analytics and workforce planning with 30 years of experience including experience as both an HR senior leader/practitioner and financial CFO.

 

Attendees will be introduced to various templates and tools that can improve and enable superior metrics, insights, and storytelling as well as preset templates for calculation of more advanced predictive metrics and analytic topics. The final objective of the lab is to educate and enable both standard and advance analytic practices on a repeatable basis. 

 

Each week will involve sharing structured content, providing tools, case studies and techniques that can be applied directly to an organization. Progress will be reviewed with each participant receiving personalized feedback through document review, discussion, and coaching. 

 

There will be 1-2 hours weekly available as office hours for personalized meetings, feedback and coaching. Estimated time outside of training will be between 1-3 hours effort between sessions.

Weekly Online Live Sessions:

US: Tuesday at 3.30 -5:30pm (PST),  6:30-8:30pm (EST)

Australia: Wednesday at 10:30-12:30pm (AEDT)

NZ: Friday at 12.30 – 2.30pm (NZDT)

Jeff Higgins

Jeff was EVP client services at Inform a workforce planning and analytics company, EVP of Workforce Planning at Countrywide Financial Corp., and senior HR leader driving workforce analytics and planning at The Irvine Company and OneWest Bank. Previously Mr. Higgins spent 15 years in finance and accounting roles of increasing responsibility for Johnson & Johnson, Baxter International, Colgate Palmolive and Klune Industries, ultimately as a Controller, VP of Finance and CFO.

 

In September 2019, and  Mr. Higgins and HCMI were featured on a CFO magazine cover story on Human Capital Reporting “human-capitals-big-reveal”.
